- Cosway Holiday Park is located on the eastern side of Mersea Island overlooking the North Sea.
- The Park is large and spacious occupying 22 acres of landscaped grounds gently sloping to the seashore.
- Hedgerows, trees and shrubberies divide the park.
- Tarmacadam roads link the park areas with a 5 mph speed limit throughout.
- Each holiday home enjoys a small area of personal grounds.
- Owners' dogs are welcome on the Park and a field is available for their exercise (dog walkers field).
- There is a large open area for ball games and a boat park, which leads to the shore.
- Both the dog walkers field and playing field are out of bounds in December, to safeguard roosting birds, which are in danger during prolonged freezing weather conditions.
- A card-operated barrier secures road access to the holiday homes areas.
- The park has a large car park adjacent to the sales/information office.
- The clubhouse has a ramp providing wheelchair access, all public areas are on one level and tables and chairs may be moved to accommodate wheelchairs.
- The ladies and gents are of very generous size and would accommodate a wheelchair user.
- The patio areas outside the clubhouse and beside the swimming pool are fully accessible to wheelchairs.
- The heated outdoor pool is situated in a walled area adjacent to the clubhouse.
- The pool has clearly marked depths, steps into the water and safety buoys, whilst the wide non-slip patio has ample seating space.
- The Park has designated refuse and recycling points, water and fire points most of which are adjacent to roadways.
- A delivery service is available for calor gas cylinders.
- A mobile shop visits the Park on a weekly basis.
- There is a local bus service, which stops at the end of Fen Lane (about 300 metres from the Park entrance) and local taxi services are available on the island.
- The Park has direct access to the sandy beach and is a short walk away from the 35-acre Cudmore Grove Country Park, which offers walks, a picnic area and wildlife observation hides.
- A ferry for pedestrians, bicycles and wheelchairs runs from East Mersea to Brightlingsea.
- Staff are usually available on-site for any emergency and some staff are first aid trained.
- There is a doctor's surgery, dental practice and pharmacy in West Mersea and the nearest A&E hospital is in Colchester; telephone numbers for local services are displayed at the sales/information office.
